EC’s art consultancy focused on London’s historic Docklands famed for its 18th Century tea clippers. Monochrome prints were developed from old maps and trade routes and applied to metallic wall coverings in 300 bedrooms.
The stories uncovered during the research added further layers of interest. 19th Century botanical discoveries were inspiration for bespoke exotic flora designs that were used as printed fabric panels and roller blinds.
The trade route story is furthered in the public areas which feature large format maps in various media as both wall and ceiling treatments. EC’s accredited installation team delivered and fitted all content.
